I sort of kind of worked in television. The company owned five networks and most of them were filled with syndicated stuff. I mostly got commercials and old programming ready for air (specifically a soap opera called The Doctors). The last few years I worked there, they moved into making original programming and I helped out with some of that. There was a country music interview show called More Than the Music that I helped edit (and shot for once or twice). (Cont.)

I know people who have worked in various part of the industry, and I feel like you have to really love it to be in it. Often times you start out doing the things no one else wants to, for little pay, and really long hours. Of course it can be immensely fun and rewarding! Also, network, network, network!!! So many times it’s about who you know, not your qualifications. 

Has anyone worked in entertainment or music business before? I am genuinely curious if it is something people in the industry love. What are the pros and cons? Entertainment is definitely something I am looking into post graduation in one month, so any words of wisdom about the industry or career in general would be amazing to hear!
