It’s a well-known fact that Below Deck enthusiasts tune in for the inter-crew drama, not the crazy customers. When a particularly demanding primary steps on board to spice things up with our favorite yachties, it’s icing on the cake, not the main course — but one group of guests on Below Deck Sailing Yacht this season particularly caught my eye.
During the Monday, March 22, episode of the Bravo show, we met Barrie and his brood, and I haven’t been able to look away for a single second that they’ve been on screen.
They started off with an iconic introduction
After their previous charter fell apart thanks to a coronavirus scare, Captain Glenn gathered Daisy, Gary, and Natasha to get them ready for their next guests. He told them all about Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, their new primary who was taking his family out for a few days at sea. But the Drewitt-Barlows are no ordinary family. I’ll let Glenn lay it out.
“Barrie and his ex-husband, Tony, have been in the limelight for over 20 years since becoming the U.K.’s first same-sex couple to use a surrogate to have children,” the captain explained. “Although the two have divorced, they are still best of friends and live together with their five children and their respective boyfriends, all of whom will be joining them on this trip.”
