Something I have started doing — which I think ALL managers should start doing — is end any request for a meeting e-mail with “nothing bad, I promise!” Even though it feels unnecessary, I know how it feels to be on the other side of a confusing e-mail. 

But @lynncurtainscuff, pretty sure you’re fine. It’s casual enough that maybe he was just feeling goofy.

I agree the ellipses are nerve-wracking, but "wanna talk about an idea I had" seems genuine, particularly with the use of "wanna." If you were in trouble, I would expect full words. 

One thought... could it have been written on his mobile, and maybe it's just a weird difference between desktop and mobile writing? I tend to use a comma after a name on desktop, but a hyphen on mobile, fwiw.
