There is absolutely nothing scientific behind this, and it reeks of #thanksimcured, but I feel like I have avoided colds by just telling my body... "no." Like, "no, you will NOT get a cold," and then somehow it never flares up. OR maybe this just means I'm a hypochondriac who just thinks she's getting sick all the time. 

I think Zicam has been medically proven to shorten the duration of a cold.

im a firm believer in feed a cold, feed a fever, feed a headache, feed a sleepy, etc.

Get some bland, comforting snackies, and pack em in. Prepare your body for the struggle ahead!

Take some NyQuil to ensure that you get your 8 hours. Also, soup for dinner, and ice cream for dessert. I have no proof that ice cream works, but I feel like the endorphin boost has got to do something. 

Lots of vitamin c -- whether that means juice, vitamins, veggies, whatever. And prioritize sleep and drinking water. 

alka seltzer plus always does wonders for me!

First thing is to lower stress as much as possible. Keep exercise light, increase fluids and vitamins. IDK I'm no doctor but that works for me usually. 

Airborne or emergen-C! You can catch it with the right vitamins. 

So ok. What to do when I need to stop a cold dead in its tracks. What do I need to take? Drink? Eat? Do? 

I feel like an old fashioned bad cold coming and I want to avoid it all costs. SOS.
