I’m definitely susceptible to the one-off Instagram ad that convinced me to buy something super extra, but agree with Aritzia. It’s always reliable for basics AND fun stuff. Over the pandemic, I’ve also fallen for Mate the Label for any of my more comfortable needs. 

Been loving Abercrombie lately, and agree with BreadPitt, they have really flattering body suits and they also sell them in 2-packs which is nice since they’re good basics. 

American Eagle for jeans and shorts. Basic shirts from J Crew but shop at J Crew factory for better prices. Dresses are Old Navy or Amazon. 

I'm an Aritzia ride and die. It's higher quality than fast fashion, but they still turn over their styles enough to be able to get something new. And they have plenty of basics as well. Also, it's very Adult — you won't feel like you're dressing for Coachella walking out. 

I'm plus size, so 90% of my wardrobe is Torrid 

One of my new year's resolutions was to support local businesses, so I shop at boutiques in my neighborbood. Now granted, that neighborhood is Brooklyn, so there are a ton of great options. But see if your town has some local boutiques. If not, here's one in BK that I love (and they have e-comm)

American Eagle/aerie for most things—mid price and solid construction. Old Navy is the cheaper version of similar things. Abercrombie and Madewell are also great but I wait for sales bc I’m a cheap ass

Like comfortable regular clothes and not going out clothes? They finally brought primark to America where I’m at and they have tees and tanks and comfy shorts and regular jeans and graphic tees for a good price. See if they have one near you

This might be dumb as hell, but where are people buying clothes now? Like actual clothes. Because everywhere I look shirts don't go below the belly button, and it all looks like something I would wear to day care with a pair of jelly sandals. I just want to know, where the hell are people shopping now!
