My biggest advice is seek friendship over passion.  What I mean by that is have conversations that you would have with your friends with your SO — if you're able to do that, the rest comes much easier. I've seen many women who end up focusing on the passion piece right away — how you fight, how you... you know — that the actual bonding doesn't take place until it's too late to find out whether you actually like one another. 

Be honest! Let the person know you want to move from dating to an exclusive relationship. No matter what they say, you will know where you guys stand. 

And then discuss openly what that will mean now you are official vs just dating. Share your hopes and dreams for the relationship and enjoy! 

Whatever you do, do not do what Paige DeSorbo did during her DTR talk with Craig. Watch that scene from Monday's Summer House and let it be a lesson in what exactly NOT to do: hide your true feelings, caveat your feelings as not worthy of expressing ("so loserish"), and let the guy bulldoze you into allowing him to sleep with other women because if he didn't, it would ruin YOUR relationship with him. 

If they really are a good one, then you can feel comfortable being yourself. Don’t self-edit, or second-guess every move — if he actually is worth your time, you will be able to settle into yourself without his judgement. 

I've been dating so long it feels like I forgot what to do when you move from dating into a relationship. I find it incredibly overwhelming. And I find it the most stressful when I really like someone. Because honestly, it is very rare to find someone you like, and who actually likes you back. But then what happens? I've never really been around that many "good couples", you know the ones. They are happy, in love, and sure have their issues but they are good together and content. And also something that I want.
