My knee-jerk was Tiffany Pollard. But I think I gotta go with Simon Cowell. Defined early 2000s reality TV, and far more pervasive than Tiffany.

Nene Leakes is my number one housewife of all time because when she was good, she was great. No one could top Nene. But the best of all time?? I don't think so. 

Truthfully, I think the Kardashian family aka only Kim, Kris, Kourt, and Khloe. They have managed to remain popular 10+ years and all they did was have a reality show, which is not easy to do whether you want to believe that or not. And also, they are just icons.

I'd also add Bethenny Frankle to this list -- polarizing, hilarious, dramatic, she shares her real-life issues on screen, is the right amount of relatable/aspirational/good-lord-I-hope-I'm-never-like-her ... the perfect combo for a reality star!

I agree it's hard to beat New York and Snooki, but can I put a vote in for Christian Siriano? The perfect mixture of hilarious and talented, and he actually helped transform the red carpet for fat women, which is pretty incredible. He's not, as he would say, a hot mess, but I adore him. 

Reality TV has been around for... almost as long as I have (and I'm as old as a hill). We've seen icons born, stars disappear into the night never to be heard from again, and everything in between. We stan our favorites for a season and then unfollow them on the gram before the new season begins or we watch our heroes live out their fifteen minutes of fame for far too long until they become the villains.

With every network ever (and now streaming services) having dipped their toes into the reality TV world, there are thousands of reality "stars" out there. WHO, though, do you think is the greatest reality star ever made?

I know I asked for one, but I can't play by the rules, so I'll give you Top 3.

They're all hilarious AND know how to create drama. They make moments that will live forever in meme/gif history, and I would kill to have any of them on any kind of reality program again. Who is your #1?
