He is the Miller lite of men! Justice for my Lindsay always. I am activated 

Muppet 4 life. I, for the life of me, cannot understand the appeal of Austen. I brushed it off more during Southern Charm,  but to see a level-headed, intelligent woman like Ciara stoop to the levels we saw this past week… I mean, I had to pause the TV many times to gather myself. And then we have Lindsay who is so close to her happily-ever-after manifestation coming true, it just is hurts my eyes (and heart) to watch. 

I don’t understand! The whole thing was so hard to watch. Every time Ciara said “he’s not sleeping in her bed” I cringed!! 

Austen is a HUGE flirt, he is kind of charming, and sometimes funny thats the only thing I can think of as to why the ladies like him. I think Ciara is upset at Lindsay bc 1. Lindsay should’ve just told Ciara she was messing with Austen in the beginning of the season when Ciara asked but instead she said no & 2. Bc Lindsay saw Austen and Ciara together in Winterhouse and after.  Honestly both women should’ve teamed up & played Austen. Neither woman should be fighting over him. 

This was one of the cringiest episodes of all time. Like we can agree at this point it’s some sort of territorial situation and not them actually having feelings for this man right? Like Ciara fucked up Lindsay’s winter house fling so she is exacting some sort of petty revenge and Ciara is just reacting to that. Idk the whole thing is upsetting. All I know is I need Austin off my screen and I legit almost threw up in my mouth when he said that thing to Ciara. 

Remember in Succession when Shiv and Tom clue Greg into the "Dating Ladder" theory? The moment Chelsea Meissner accepted Austen as a viable romantic option, she rocketed him up onto a dating ladder full of gorgeous, smart, way out of his league women... and now here we are, watching him "GOD damn" himself into our beloved summer house women.

1. Ciara was projecting SO much onto Lindsay (end-of-birthday kiss aside), and the way she vilifies Lindsay for flirting with Austen, but not Austen for flirting with Lindsay is how the patriarchy tears us apart, people! We gotta stick together!

2. Austen is a potato. I know he's a tall potato, but he's still a potato. 

In the words of Yolanda Hadid, who is Austen Kroll in this world? There are many reasons to not like Austen, but what I can't seem to understand is why, these seemingly smart, extremely beautiful women fawn over him. I can't wrap my head around it. But I also don't understand why Ciara is so set on making Lindsay the bad guy, HELP ME UNDERSTAND. Because at the end of the day, Lindsay is gonna Lindsay.
