The 'Summer House' Season 5 Trailer Teases Paige & Carl Might Finally Take The Plunge

So, it turns out quarantining in the Hamptons with a big group of friends might not be as fun as it sounds. In fact, if the Summer House Season 5 trailer is anything to go by, watching a group of hot people live out your COVID summer fantasies might just make you grateful you live alone and haven't touched another human in months. (The risk of hooking up with a guy who has also hooked up with half the women in your bubble is way less likely.)

Returning cast members Luke Gulbranson, Paige DeSorbo, Danielle Olivera, Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard, Hannah Berner, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, and newcomer Ciara Miller all traveled to the Hamptons to film in July and August. And though COVID protocols made the usual Summer House blowouts impossible, the "quaranteam" cast clearly didn't let that stop them from throwing epic themed soirées — I spy costumes and mullet wigs.

The new trailer also teases a backyard wedding, sunburns, engagements, love triangles, rekindling of old flames (I'm looking at you, Carl and Paige), and shocking new hookups. Plus some good, old fashioned fights — "How many sandwiches have you made for me?" Lindsay screams at one point, in what I can only assume is a quarantine-fueled rage.

To get you ready for the new season, here's where all the Summer House couples stand in Season 5.

Amanda & Kyle

Last time we saw Amanda and Kyle, they were happily engaged and planning their 2020 wedding. Obviously, due to coronavirus, their plans have changed. But, that's not stopping them from tying the knot. In the trailer, Kyle suggests an elopement, and it definitely looks like the two of them get married at the Summer House, with Carl officiating. Is it legally binding? Who cares? This is Summer House.

Lindsay & Stephen

Lindsay and Stephen Traversie are also still going strong when Summer House returns. Though Stephen isn't an official cast member, he does show up in the trailer, declaring his love for Lindsay with some candles spelling out "I [heart] U." It looks like these two could be following in Amanda and Kyle's footsteps soon. "I'm ready for an engagement, marriage, babies," Lindsay says in the teaser. And then, things all go to hell when Stephen and Lindsay have a fight, resulting in Stephen leaving the house. The teaser hints that her broken heart might lead her straight into Luke's arms for an ill-advised night of fun. (That said, it seems kind of like an obvious tease, but you never know.)

Luke & Ciara & Hannah

Based on the trailer, it looks like Luke has decided to become straight up trash in Season 5. First, he invites Ciara to Summer House — a fairly innocent move. The entire house seems to like her, and they also agree that she's way out of his league, with Danielle even declaring, "I would fuck her." But, then the drama begins when Hannah, who hooked up with Luke in Season 4, feels that he's shoving his new relationship in her face. In another clip, Ciara seems to be accusing Luke of texting Hannah in the middle of the night, suggesting he just can't decide what he wants. And then, of course, there's his maybe hookup with Lindsay teased at the end of the trailer. I really hope Luke is ready to be on the receiving end of some hate on Twitter.

Paige & Carl

During her appearance on the Summer House Season 4 reunion in May, Paige confirmed that she was still dating Perry Rahbar, who she dated throughout the season, though he never came to the Hamptons. However, based on the trailer for Season 5, it looks like Paige and Perry might be taking a break. "Should I just fuck Carl?" she asks the Summer House gods. Well, Paige, that is a question only you can truly answer. (My money's on "yes" she should, and "yes" she will.) After a few will they/won't they summers, Carl and Paige might finally be on the same page. In the trailer, Carl admits he still crushes on her, and Paige muses, "If I met this Carl two summers ago, it would've been a totally different story."

Summer House will return for a quarantine season on Feb. 4 on Bravo.
