‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 9 Promo Teases A Premiere Date & Babies

Ever wonder what Randall Emmett wears under those pants? Yeah, me neither, but, Lala Kent has decided that the world must know, and now we do. Just a day after officially confirming a return to SUR, Bravo released a Vanderpump Rules Season 9 promo teasing a premiere date (yay!) and reveals the reason Tom Schwartz doesn't sleep naked (OK?). It's very informative.

In the clip, a 37-weeks pregnant Lala is sitting down with her fiancé Randall, Tom and Katie Maloney-Schwartz. "I'm like, so proud of my body," Lala declares. (As she should. Making a baby is no joke.) Randall then jumps in and asks Katie and Tom if they're thinking of adding to the Sur-baby wave — Scheana Shay just welcomed a baby girl, and former cast mates Stassi Schroeder and Brittany Cartwright also had babies this year. "I thought once we pulled the goalie, it would happen, like, right away," Katie reveals, before suggesting Tom get his sperm tested.

This, ladies and gents, is where the convo takes a serious turn into TMI territory. After assuring his wife that he's been staying away from the hot tub, Tom reveals the reason he doesn't sleep naked — something Lala suggests he might want to try. "I feel vulnerable. I have an irrational fear of like, an owl's gonna come through the wall," he says. (Honestly, that's fair.) Anyways, the entire thing ends with Lala telling Tom and Katie, and therefore the rest of us, that Randall is a "free-baller," and I immediately wish I could erase this from my memory.

If you can make it through the weirdness, there's a reward: a premiere date! Or, well, a premiere ballpark. The promo promises that Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules will be coming this fall. And, regardless of possible COVID-19 surprises, it looks like the show will actually be able to deliver on that timeline.

Based on Lala's 37 weeks comment, this clip was probably filmed sometime in late February or early March — Lala welcomed her baby girl in mid-March. So, it looks like Vanderpump Rules has been in production for a while, since before SUR and Tom Tom were even thinking about re-opening their doors. So, it stands to reason that, even if another COVID shutdown were to happen in So-Cal, the Pump Rules crew would be ready.

We might finally get the answer to the question we've all been wondering this year. Can Vanderpump Rules SUR-vive... without SUR? Do we even want it to? Let us know your thoughts.
