We Get It, You've Got A Virgin On Katie's Season Of 'The Bachelorette'

Hey, did you know Katie Thurston was sex positive? If you have a pulse and ABC access you sure as hell do. We all knew that Katie's celebrated sex positivity was going to be SHOVED down our throats like a blueberry pie during a bad group date at a county fair, but then they introduced the virgin, Mike, on The Bachelorette and the show said, muahahaha.

There's obviously nothing wrong with being a virgin, just like there's nothing wrong with being sex positive. (And hey, there's also nothing wrong with being a sex-positive virgin!) But Katie has made it very known that sex and talking about sex is an important part of her life. (She said as much to Tayshia and Kaitlyn during their 2-on-1 chat — "it's 2021!") And while Mike said that he also doesn't think there's anything wrong with being sex positive, he would like to keep sex within his marriage. Are you seeing right through this like I am? It gives the show even more of a gimmick to use throughout the season, and it's already getting old.

From her season's tagline ("See what all the buzz is about") to the many euphemisms made throughout the premiere, Katie's season is all about sex so far. And while that's a part of her life, it's not the only part of her life, and it's not exactly fair to her to make it the only conversation to be had throughout the show. (Don't get me wrong, it should be a conversation... but the only one? I wanna hear them talk about their bumper car trauma, dammit!)
