‘RHONY’ Recap: NYC Is Back, Baby, And Everyone Has A New Face

THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME: IT'S RHONY DAY! You guys, this should be a national holiday, in my opinion. I love these women so much. These are the housewives that I could honestly watch do anything. Real Housewives of New York and Real Housewives of Potomac are two pillars of my Bravo shrine and we are so fucking close to having them on AT THE SAME TIME. (Rumor has it RHOP is returning next month.) How fucking blessed are we? It's like Bravo was like, “Ok they've been through enough in 2020, let's give them this,” and for this, we are thankful.

I can’t lie to you, when the intro started for RHONY I got the goddamn chills. Seeing the world pre-COVID, especially a city like New York, made me unexpectedly emotional. And it really made me realize we are living through the weirdest times. Which, obviously, but seeing it on a screen was so surreal. I honestly don’t think any of us have fully processed what is even happening; we're just on autopilot trying the best we can, and honestly, good for us. We are doing the best we can.

Seeing the streets and the hustle and bustle of NYC in March 2020 compared to October 2020, when no one was walking around, the noise and the energy of the city gone... it felt like a scary movie tbh.
