Is Cody Rigsby Going To Win 'DWTS'?

Cody may have lost one of his nine lives, but in the immortal words of his co-instructor, Robin Arzón, did you die though? (No, he has eight more lives.) On Monday night's Dancing With the Stars, the Cody we've all been waiting for emerged during the Paso Doble to Janet Jackson's "Black Cat," and earned his highest score of the entire competition. Yes Boo!

This performance was not only Cody's highest scoring performance, it was just his best dance period. (I know I say that every week, but it's true! Boo is improving week after week!) This performance was all Cody. Even Len, who is notoriously the most difficult judge to please, said he couldn't take his eyes off of Cody. That, plus the other judges' praise, earned him two 10s and two 9s, for a total of 38 points.

Later in the evening, Cody went head-to-head with Amanda Kloots in the Cha Cha dance-off. While I personally thought that Cody was better (but we have acknowledged that I am completely biased), Amanda went on to win the extra 2 points. I think most notable though, is the fact that Cody held his own against Amanda (former Rockette and Broadway dancer) and not only that, he looked great.

And just like that, Cody is in the DWTS Semi-Finals! I really think at this point Cody could win this. I have talked about how the voting works multiple times in the past couple of weeks, because despite landing in the middle to bottom on the leader board, Cody has avoided the bottom two this whole competition. Plus, three of the six couples that are in the Semi-Finals have been in the bottom two and saved by the judges: Suni, JoJo, and Melora. This makes me assume that Cody, along with Amanda and Iman, have been receiving the majority of America's votes consistently. Therefore, I feel that it is highly likely that Cody makes it to the finals.

I am truly so curious how the fan votes are split. We know, and have known, that the #Pelofam has been coming in strong for Cody since Day 1. Cody has proven that he has a strong pull, but I am curious if the average watcher of this show is voting for him? He definitely earned some sympathy votes while he and Cheryl battled Covid-19, but I think as it's getting to the nitty gritty, that viewer who is not a Peloton member, may vote for who they think is the best dancer... I mean this is a dance competition.

As favorite contestants are getting voted off, who are their votes going to and will this swing the vote in a different direction? Probably. But could the Peloton vote still hold that much weight? Honestly, I think it could.
