How To Send A 'Men In Kilts'-Themed Valentine's Day Card To Your Own "Sassenach"

Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish have already provided Outlander fans with a Valentine's Day gift in the form of their new show, Men in Kilts, but like his character Jamie Fraser, Heughan is apparently not one to skimp on romantic gestures. In honor of the show's premiere date, you can now send a Men in Kilts Valentine's Day card, too. So whether you've got an Outlander-loving Valentine or you're your own Valentine, Heughan and McTavish have you covered.

You can choose to either mail a printed postcard via the United States Postal Service for free (as the site says, "Aye! Sam & Graham have your postage covered!") or send a digital postcard through email (also for free). If you choose the former, you only have until Monday, Feb. 8 to do the mail option so that your Valentine gets it in time.

I went through the process and tried out both methods. Here's everything you need to know to make your loved one a Men in Kilts Valentine's Day card.

The Front

Whether you opt for printed or digital, you have six choices for the front of your Valentine's Day card.

"For the love of peat, have a Scotch with me?"

This cozy fireside image from the Men in Kilts yule log features McTavish and Heughan raising a glass of what else, Heughan's Sassenach, while showing off a lot of knee.

"Ye rev mah engine!"

The motorcycle and sidecar may have resulted in a life-threatening experience for McTavish, as he wrote about in Clanlands, but how could something so charming be so lethal?

"I'm fair pickled when I think of you!"

For your Valentine who likes a more aged Scot(ch), choose the McTavish solo front where he lies in a field of heather with a rose stem between his lips. And be grateful the message is about pickles and not grinding corn.

"I'll cross the loch and sea just to say, 'I love ye!'"

While the Loch Ness Monster may not be the most romantic imagery, let McTavish and Heughan row your Valentine's boat to shore.

"Our love works better in tandem!"

The men are all smiles on their tandem bicycle with scattered rose petals. Their bike ride was far less idyllic than it looks, according to their accounts in Clanlands, but the image still makes you want to coast downhill in the Scottish countryside with these Men in Kilts stars.

"My love for you is running full kilt!"

Heughan's got his rowboat and oar, but he's ready to hit the ground running for your love in his solo card... there's no McTavish (or Claire) in sight.

The Back

No matter which front you choose, the message on the back is the same. "With love in our hearts and haggis in our belly, let's coorie-in and watch some telly. Cozy up with Men In Kilts and have a happy Valentine’s Day! From Sam, Graham and [your name]."

The Details

Once you've chosen your front, entered the recipient's information, and agreed to the terms and conditions, you are good to go — review your card and select "Aye, It's OK."

For the card I emailed, the recipient got it minutes after I sent it. So if you want your recipient to get the emailed card closer to Valentine's Day, you may wait to send it closer to the day-of.

Beyond the Valentine's Day card campaign, there's also the chance to win a Men in Kilts travel kit (enter the sweepstakes by Saturday, Feb. 13 through TV Insider). But for a guaranteed chance to warm the heart of the Outlander fan in your life, these Valentine's Cards from Heughan and McTavish will keep them feeling as warm and fuzzy as a dram of whisky.
