Jamie and Claire never had to live through the COVID-19 pandemic, but that doesn't mean 2020 wasn't rough for them like the rest of the world. Outlander Season 5 premiered on Feb. 16 and ended on May 10 and the season saw the death of Murtagh, Roger being hung, Jamie getting a nearly-fatal snakebite, Brianna having to face Stephen Bonnet, and Claire being abducted and assaulted. But there were moments of beauty, love, and even fun, too. After all, Season 5 is where The Impetuous Pirate got a shoutout, viewers got to meet Claire's precious gray kitten Adso for the first time, and Jamie got his jig on... and tried to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a knife and fork.
