I was today years old when I learned that Timothée Chalamet's Willy Wonka origin story movie was also a musical. How, you ask, did I find out a movie about the youth of a sadistic candy maker would include musical numbers? In the absolute best way possible: a leaked clip of Chalamet singing on the Willy Wonka set.

I want to warn you, we've seen Timmy Chalamet do a lot of things. We've watched him rap about statistics, have dinner with Kanye West, eat the peach, but nothing has prepared you for what's about to happen when you press play.

That, according to Chalamet super fan and lucky neighbor to the Willy Wonka set Art Doherty, is our very own Timmy sitting on a truck, singing about his 🎶 re-ci-PEs 🎶. It's vibe. It's a bop. It's a lifestyle.

My brain is abuzz. There are layers to this, from Chalamet's major A Christmas Carole vibes outfit, to this rigged truck that has me questioning when this movie even takes place (so cars have been invented...interesting), to the actual lyrics of this little ditty:

I'll admit, it's taken me quite some time to acknowledge that this Willy Wonka movie is, in fact, a real thing Timmy is doing and not some elaborate performance art prank. I was not convinced when it was announced Chalamet would be playing the young chocolatier. I was not convinced when Rowan Atkinson, Sally Hawkins, and Oscar-winner Olivia Coleman were announced as part of the Willy Wonka cast. I was not convinced when Chalamet revealed the first photos of himself in character. But this video did it. I am now ready and willing to admit that the Willy Wonka origin story movie is happening. It is real. And I'll never be able to unhear Timmy singing about his "HA-at full of dreams." 🎵🎶🎩
