This Was The Last Time The 'Friends' Cast Was Together, Before The Reunion

The Friends reunion on HBO Max starts with the iconic Friends font splayed across the screen, telling us: "Since the finale, the six cast members have been in a room all together only once. Until today..." and of course, we have to know when was that last time the Friends cast was together, in a room, before the reunion?

I'll cut to the chase. It was dinnertime on Saturday, October 5, 2019.

Lemme walk you through my work to arrive at such a precise date and time.

Jennifer Aniston posted her first Instagram on October 15, 2019. She shared a selfie she took with her five co-stars: Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer. Aniston amassed 1 million Instagram followers quicker than anyone else had, and rumors started swirling about a Friends reunion. (Which were true ... they were set to film in February 2020, only a few months after this selfie, but ya know, COVID, etc.)

The Instagram photo led me to uncover an interview Aniston did with Howard Stern. On his Sirius XM Radio show, she said that the cast had gotten together at "Court's house" for dinner "this week, on Saturday night." The whole gang was there, she said.

Aniston recorded her interview with Stern on October 7, 2019, which was a Monday. Yada yada yada, the last time the Friends were together was, as I said, dinnertime on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
