Will Harrison Be A Serial Killer On 'Dexter: New Blood'? He Might Have A Dark Passenger Like His Dad

While it's debated in the scientific world if there is really a gene that's a marker for someone to be a serial killer, there's no denying that in the Dexter universe, a serial killer gene exists. With Dexter reuniting with his son, it sure seems that Harrison will be a serial killer in New Blood. After all, what's the point of reviving these characters eight years later if he's not? ...unless the whole point of New Blood is to show that your family blood doesn't have to dictate who you are or what you'll become.

In the original Dexter when Harrison wasn't even a year old, Dexter feared he would grow up to be like him. In Season 5 following Rita's death, Harrison ripped a head off a doll during a therapy session and gave Dexter a cold stare; Harrison cut another kid's cheek (the same place where Dexter cuts his victims for his blood slides) and cleaned up the blood; he said, "die, die," instead of "bye, bye," as his first words. Yet, it seemed that Dexter's concerns weren't legitimate and Harrison appeared to be well-adjusted. There was an incident in Season 8 when Dexter was worried that Harrison was good at lying, but that didn't turn into anything significant. And when he sent Harrison off with Hannah to Argentina, Dexter thought he was doing the right thing by keeping Harrison safe from his serial killer ways.
