Calling All 'Bridgerton' Fans Named Daphne & Simon...

Netflix, understandably, can't get enough of the scandalous affairs of the London ton, as they recently renewed Bridgerton for a Season 2. Not that any of us expected any less, the show ranked in viewing numbers that were off the charts with 63 million viewers projected to have tuned in to watch Simon declare to Daphne that "I burn for you" in its first four weeks on the streamer.

To make the prolonged wait for the next season — in which we are to see Daphne's brother, Lord Anthony Bridgerton, potentially find a true love match — more bearable, Hotels.com decided to spice up the off-season with a Bridgerton-themed "IRL Hastings Honeymoon" sweepstakes. But fair warning, it only applies if you are part of a real-life couple bearing the names Daphne and Simon. See what they did there?

In search for their own Duke and Duchess duo, Hotels.com announced on Twitter that the first in real life couple named Simon and Daphne to get married before Season 2 will be crowned with a $15,000 honeymoon. And you've got to share proof of your nuptials in response to the Twitter post below. What a pity my parents didn't name me Daphne and I personally don't have any Simons in my Contacts.

Digging into the specifics on the Hotels.com website, eligibility for this Bridgerton promo is only open to legal residents of the U.S. and Canada who are at least 18 years old. The entry period began last Thursday, January 21, 2021. But not to worry if you have not submitted or tied the knot yet. The deadline to enter is December 31, 2021, so there is plenty of time for some wedding planning. After all, not everyone can be like the fictional Simon and Daphne on Bridgerton and wed within the span of just a week.

Now, dear reader, if you are wondering how to enter, here's the royal protocol. During the entry period, you must be the very first couple to walk down the aisle with legal first names Daphne and Simon (no nicknames) and to contact Hotels.com on Twitter with proof of a valid U.S. or Canada marriage license. (And I thought those marriage licenses on Bridgerton were hard to acquire). Plus, you must be a registered user of Twitter in order to respond to Hotel.com's post on Twitter.

Now for the breakdown of that $15,000 honeymoon grand prize. Hotels.com will select only one winning couple to receive a $10,000 Hotels.com gift card and a $5,000 Visa card to be used towards a future honeymoon vacation. (Perhaps you will want to jet set off to one of the IRL Bridgerton filming locations and live out this "IRL Hastings Honeymoon" sweepstakes to the fullest). The prize will be paid out within 60 days of contacting the winners.

If you want to read the full lowdown on this society event that would no doubt be worthy of the front page of a Lady Whistledown pamphlet, take a gander at all the sweepstakes details here.

Cheers to one soon-to-be very happy couple!
